San Diego Mountain Rescue Team - SDMRT

SDMRT works in cooperation with the San Diego County Sheriffs Department, volunteering to find people who are missing in the backcountry of San Diego.

If you plan on going into the backcountry of San Diego (or anywhere for that matter), please take the necessary precautions to insure your safety. Make sure you take a map of the area as well as a compass or GPS, and be certain you understand land navigation. Be ready for any possible weather changes that may occur, take plenty of water, and let somebody know where you will be and what time you expect to be back. If a little time is taken to prepare for the unexpected, then the possiblility of becoming lost can be significantly reduced.
