  2. Facilitating long-term trainee advancement to Rescue Member status – (Sharon)
  3. Tracking new recruits to field qualification:
    1. All recruits field qualified, or complete in all aspects except DSW approval.

  4. Navigation field training – Debrief
    1. Excellent training.

OLD BUSINESS

    1. Will count as a SDMRT search attendance credit, but will not be penalized for not attending (bonus credit)
  2. 9/24/18 Monday SDSDSAR team business meeting followed by presentation “Managing an Unplanned Encounter of a Suicidal Subject” by Dave Hendron (consider asking Dave to present to SDMRT team meeting)
  3. MOU between SDMRT and Cleveland National Forest of USFS – Update – Richard
    1. Current MOU expires in September 2018.
    2. Will be rewritten with a 5yr term. Richard is pursuing.
  4. SDMRT Facebook pages – John and Eitan; Seattle MRT 70th anniversary
    1. John is collecting mountain climb photos.
  5. HPWren status update (Dennis Peck)
    1. Dennis has obtained equipment for testing
    2. Testing is pending. Hugo will update the board when new information is available.

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Does our ops report template address all current ESRI reporting fields?
    1. Ops report template updated.
    2. Note that ESRI data is public and must be scrubbed of sensitive information.
  2. New member recruiting for 2018-2019 – Erin
    1. This year’s recruitment will incorporate items discussed at the MultiSAR OL Debrief meeting.
      1. Updated application
      2. Interview scoring standardization
      3. Interviews to be spread across 4 days, ending by 9pm each day, to prevent interviewer fatigue
    2. Recruitment poster to be completed and distributed at 7/11 team meeting.
    3. Board votes to approve $200 in total spending for interviewer meals.
  3. SDSDSAR ham radio license training, 11/3/18, 0815-1915, Vista United Methodist Church
  4. Consider risk assessment/decision-making process for SDMRT ops (e.g., http;//host.jibc.ca/gsar/)
