The San Diego Mountain Rescue Team survives on donations, grants, and member dues. We can't do what we do without your support.
SDMRT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your donation is tax-deductible — confirm the specifics with your tax advisor.
Every member is a volunteer. Nobody on this team is paid, and we never charge for a rescue. Donations go directly to the equipment and training that keep the team callout-ready.

Where your donation goes
- Technical rescue equipment — rope, hardware, litters, and rigging
- Medical supplies — the packs carried on every callout
- Communications — radios, repeaters, and GPS units
- Training and certification — including Mountain Rescue Association recertification
- Community education — free safety programs for schools and youth groups

Other ways to give
Employer matching. Many employers match charitable contributions. Ask your HR department whether yours does — it can double the value of your gift at no extra cost to you.
Grants. If you represent a foundation or corporate giving program, we would welcome a conversation. Email info@sdmrt.org.
Equipment. We occasionally accept donations of serviceable technical or medical gear. Please contact us before shipping anything.
