Privacy Policy

San Diego Mountain Rescue Team ("the App") is an internal tool operated by the San Diego Mountain Rescue Team ("SDMRT," "we," "us"), a California nonprofit public benefit corporation and 501(c)(3) organization. The App is intended solely for use by current SDMRT members and is not offered to the general public.

Information we access

When you sign in with Google, the App requests only your basic account identity: your email address and the associated Google account identifier. We do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service or data.

How we use it

Your email address is used for one purpose: to confirm that it appears on SDMRT's list of authorized members. If it does, you are granted access to the App. If it does not, access is denied.

Storage and retention

The App does not store the contents of your Google account. We retain your email address on the member authorization list for as long as you are an SDMRT member. Any session data created when you sign in is used only to keep you signed in and is discarded when the session ends or expires.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing. The authorization list is maintained by SDMRT solely for Team administration and is accessible only to SDMRT officers and administrators who need it to manage access.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

You may revoke the App's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Members may request removal from the authorization list by contacting the Team Secretary.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted at this address with its effective date.
